Carb Tuning Instructions 49cc

The engine factory has the Fuel Mixture screw set very lean to meet emissions. Of course this is too lean to run well. Most customers turn the screw 1/2 to 1 full turn out (counter clockwise) to solve this issue. The problem is these new carbs do not have a flat head screw top. It requires a special tool to turn it.

Some customers have turned with a small needle nose pliers or used a dremel tool to make a small notch in the top to turn it with a flat head screw driver.

Some of these carbs screws use a PACMAN tool and some of the newer engines are using another type of screw that requires a special tool
